Product Details

This vertical machining center is developed around a dynamic-rigidity design philosophy, making it a versatile machine for shops that demand both heavy cutting and high finishing accuracy. Its symmetrical structure and fast dynamic response allow the machine to handle milling, drilling, boring, reaming, tapping, and counterboring in a single setup. Once the workpiece is clamped, the vertical CNC machine can automatically and continuously machine multiple faces – including inclined surfaces and continuous curved surfaces – with high efficiency and precision.

Thanks to its adaptable and reliable flexible manufacturing capability, this VMC machine serves a wide range of industries: general machinery, energy, aerospace, automotive parts, locomotives, machine tool building, electronics, printing, and textiles.

Our Advantages

Dynamic Rigidity for Stable Heavy Cutting

The machine adopts a symmetrical structure and high-strength cast iron components (resin sand molding + double aging treatment). This minimizes deformation and vibration under cutting forces, ensuring stable performance even during interrupted cuts.

Precision-Grade Positioning & Repeatability

With ±0.008 mm positioning accuracy and ±0.005 mm repeatability on all three axes, the machine consistently meets tight tolerance requirements for hole patterns, dowel pin locations, and contoured surfaces.

One‑Setup Multi‑Surface Machining Capability

Workpiece travels of 1100 mm (X), 600 mm (Y), and 620 mm (Z) – plus a spindle nose‑to‑table range of 120–740 mm – allow milling, drilling, boring, reaming, tapping, and counterboring on multiple faces (including inclined and continuous curved surfaces) in a single clamping. This eliminates errors from repeated setups.

High Torque & Power for Versatile Materials

The BT40 belt-driven spindle delivers 52.5 N·m of output torque and 11/15 kW motor power. This combination provides strong low-end cutting force for steels and cast irons, while still reaching 10,000 rpm for high-speed finishing of aluminum and other non-ferrous metals.

Flexible Manufacturing for Diverse Industries

The 800 kg worktable load capacity and the robust cross‑sliding structure make the machine adaptable to a wide range of workpiece sizes and batch types. It is well‑suited for general machinery, energy, aerospace, automotive parts, locomotives, machine tools, electronics, printing, and textiles – any industry requiring reliable, flexible machining.

FAQ

1. What is the maximum workpiece size and weight this machine can handle?

With X/Y/Z travels of 1100×600×620 mm and a table size of 1200×600 mm, workpieces up to approximately 1100 mm long, 600 mm wide, and 500 mm high can be machined. Table load capacity is 800 kg, suitable for heavy parts like mold bases and engine blocks.

2. What materials can this vertical CNC machine cut effectively?

The machine is designed for carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum alloys. The BT40 belt-drive spindle delivers 52.5 N·m torque at low speeds for heavy cutting of ferrous metals, and reaches 10,000 rpm for high-speed finishing of aluminum and non-ferrous metals.

3. What is the positioning accuracy and repeatability, and how is it maintained?

Positioning accuracy is ±0.008 mm and repeatability is ±0.005 mm for all three axes. Accuracy is maintained through pre-tensioned C3-class precision ball screws, box-type hardened guideways on the Z-axis, and double aging treatment of high-strength cast iron components to minimize residual stress and thermal deformation.

4. How does the spindle control work? What are the speed and power ranges?

Belt-driven spindle with maximum speed 10,000 rpm. Motor power: 11/15 kW (continuous/peak), output torque 52.5 N·m. Belt drive provides excellent low-speed torque for heavy cutting and is more economical to maintain than direct-drive.

5. How fast are the axis movements, and does that improve productivity?

Rapid traverse: X/Y 48,000 mm/min, Z 36,000 mm/min. Cutting feed: 1–10,000 mm/min. High rapids significantly reduce non-cutting time, especially for large workpieces or parts requiring multiple tool changes, directly improving cycle time.

6. What is the tool magazine capacity, and what are the tool size and weight limits?

The machine comes with a 24-tool swing-arm automatic tool changer. Maximum tool diameter: Φ80 mm when all pockets are full, or Φ150 mm when adjacent pockets are empty. Maximum tool length is 300 mm, and maximum tool weight per tool is 8 kg.

7. How does the machine maintain stability and accuracy during heavy cutting?

Dynamic rigidity design: high-strength cast iron (resin sand + double aging), symmetrical column/spindle box, and box-type hardened guideways on Z-axis. These absorb vibration and resist deformation. The cross-sliding structure lowers the center of gravity for enhanced stability.

8. Can the machine specifications be customized?

Yes, we offer customization services. For any special configuration requirements, please feel free to contact us via the online customer service on our website or by emailing our sales department at inquiry_saledept@weinocnc.com.
